We are happy to present to you the University of Free State, UFS Graduation List 2021 and how to check your graduation status. The Vice Chancellor on behalf of the University Council, the Management Board and Senate has released the names of successful graduands.
Therefore, all successful graduands can check their names below or on the university website.
UNIVERSITY OF FREE STATE (UFS) GRADUATION LIST FOR 2021
The UFS will host virtual graduation ceremonies from 19 to 22 April 2021 for undergraduate and postgraduate students who have completed their qualifications at the end of the 2020 academic year. Graduation ceremonies will be broadcast daily at 10:00 on the official UFS YouTube channel and university website.

Bloemfontein Campus (certificates, diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, honours degrees, and postgraduate diplomas)
Faculties: Economic and Management Sciences, Education, Health Sciences, The Humanities, Law, Natural and Agricultural Sciences, Theology and Religion
20 April 2021
South Campus (certificates and diplomas)

21 April 2021

Examination Results
The results of the examinations are available from the offices of the respective Deans of Faculties/Schools during working hours.
List of Graduands
The list will be posted as soon as it is approved. Continuously keep on confirming with your Department and the UFS graduation page if you have met the Graduation requirements.
Any potential graduand whose name is not on the list is expected to visit his/her School immediately.
Verification Of Academic Records And Order Of Names
Ensure that your names are correctly spelt out and are in the right order and spelling as they will appear on the Certificate and Official Transcripts (as per your National ID or Passport). Kindly liaise with your Department for confirmation.
Clearance & Fees
All graduands should be cleared by the UFS’s Accounts Office before registering for graduation. Any outstanding fees must be paid before the deadline. Only graduands cleared by the Accounts office will be allowed to register for graduation.
Graduation Certificate/Transcripts
You may request a hardcopy degree certificate and transcript to be delivered to you via courier. Certificates will only be dispatched after the virtual graduation ceremony has taken place.
Academic Attire
If the graduation is confirmed to be done virtually, then the academic dress/regalia will not be required for the virtual graduation, thus no charges to incur and also note that in order to reduce contact and exposure during this current pandemic period, the university shall not be issuing any gowns to the students.
