The management of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has opened the bursary application portal for aspirants that are interested in running a program at various South African institutions both at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate level. Specific dates and deadlines have been set for NSFAS bursary registration as well as the closure of the bursary portal. It is advisable to apply early because of the limited slots available as late registration will not be permitted.

It is funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training. The program also manages bursaries such as the Funza Lushaka Teacher Bursary (for students pursuing a teaching qualification), DHET Disability Bursary and other bursaries from the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs).

- The NSFAS Bursary Application Portal is expected to shut down on the same date at 11:59 PM.
