CUT Online Application Guide 2025

CUT Online Application Eligibility

1. Types of Applicants:
   • New Students: Applicants who have never previously applied to CUT.
   • Reapply: If you’ve applied in previous years, you must reapply for a new academic year.
   • CUT Continuing Students: Those already registered but aiming to commence a different study programme.
2. Documents Required:

• • Current Matriculants: Upload Final Grade 11 or Grade 12 June results.
  • Already Matriculated: a certified ID and Senior Certificate are necessary.
  • Higher Qualifications than Matric: Attach a certified ID, Senior Certificate, qualifications, and academic record.
  • Postgraduate Applicants: Engage with the Head of the Department or Assistant Deans, Research Innovation and Engagement, for research project discussions prior to cut online application for 2024.

CUT Online Application Procedure

1. Start with Preliminaries:
   • Familiarise yourself with the Programmes Offered.
   • Directly proceed to cut application online.
   • For assistance with system PIN or student number, download Retrieve CUT PIN and/or Student nr steps.pdf.
2. Detailed Online Application Procedure:
   • Go to the official CUT website, click on “Study at CUT” followed by “Apply Online”.
   • Read the displayed instructions and requirements thoroughly.
   • Select your category from New Applications, Re-apply, or CUT Continuing Student, and adhere to the on-screen instructions. Ensure every detail is accurate and upload the necessary documents.
   • Postgraduate students must discuss their research project with the department before beginning the application process.
   • After feeding in all the details and uploading the essential documents, make sure to review your application for any discrepancies before the final submission.
3. Warnings and Notes: There is no fee associated with the application process. Any external claims for payment or other fees should be deemed fraudulent. Additionally, no external consultants or third parties are authorised to assist with applications.

Application Dates

• Closing Date: The cut-off online application for 2024 will close on September 30, 2024.
• Feedback on Applications: The window for feedback extends from 6 to 10 weeks post-application. To check the CUT online application status, utilise the online system.
