We are pleased to announce that the application for the 2025/2026 AGSA Bursary Programme for Chartered Accountancy Studies is now open.
The bursary programme is designed to support South African citizens who are pursuing or intending to pursue Chartered Accountancy studies at accredited universities. This programme aims to cover tuition fees, accommodation, meals, and books. Bursary holders will also be required to enter into a training contract upon completion of their studies.
AGSA Bursary Eligibility and Requirements:
- Field of Study:
- The bursary is specifically for Chartered Accountancy studies, including:
- BCom Accounting CA stream
- Bachelor of Accounting CA stream
- BCompt
- The bursary is specifically for Chartered Accountancy studies, including:
- Accredited Institutions:
- The bursary is applicable only for full-time studies at universities accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
- South African Citizenship:
- Only South African citizens are eligible to apply.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Proficiency in English with strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Drive, determination, and commitment to succeed
- Leadership potential

- The bursary will cover:

AGSA Bursary Application Procedure and Deadline:
- Registration:
- Applicants must register their profiles before applying.
- Documents:
- All documents must be uploaded in PDF format and should not exceed 2MB.
- If there are errors in the uploaded documents, the system will delete them, requiring re-uploading.
- In case the requested academic documents are unavailable, applicants can apply with the most recent completed academic results.
