We are pleased to announce that the application for the Mastercard Foundation Uganda eLearning Initiative Scholarship Program for Young Girls and Women, Refugees, and Students with Disabilities
The Cyber School – Mastercard Foundation Uganda eLearning Initiative Scholarship Program is open for applications. This program is designed to support vulnerable young girls and women, refugees, and students with disabilities in pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses at Nkumba University.
Mastercard Foundation Uganda eLearning Initiative Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must meet the following conditions:
- Be admitted to Nkumba University and fall into one of the following categories:
- Vulnerable young girls or women pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses at Nkumba University.
- Students with disabilities.
- Refugees.
- Not benefiting from any other scholarship programs.
Application Requirements
- Completed application form.
- Student ID.
- Scholarship essay.
- Recommendation Letter from a Lecturer or any Faculty member.
- Attestation Form.
Scholarship Package
The scholarship covers:
- Tuition and functional fees.
- Accommodation and upkeep.
- Assistive devices and technology for Students with Disabilities.
- Psychosocial support and mentorship.
- Work Readiness and Entrepreneurship skills development.
- Internship opportunities.
Application Process and Deadline
- The application link (https://nkumbauniversity.ac.ug/call-for-scholarship-application/) is provided for submission.
- The application window opens on 6th February 2025 and closes on 18th February 2025.
