The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) 2024/2025 admission requirement for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate level is updated every year.
Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate courses and Postgraduate courses coupled with their general requirements.
For admission into programs of study at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), an applicant must have the following requirements for a successful admission.
INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS OF UGANDA UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
To register as a CPA(U) student, one must have at least one of the following qualifications.
FOR DEGREE ENTRY
A degree from a recognized University. If the qualification is obtained from outside Uganda, it must be accredited by the respective government.
FOR CERTIFICATES/DIPLOMAS ENTRY
Accounting Technicians Certificate from recognized professional bodies such as ICPAU, KASNEB, etc. Diplomas pursued in a period of at least two years from recognized universities or institutions of higher learning. If the qualification is obtained from outside Uganda, it must be accredited by the respective government. Certificates from other professional courses such as ICSA, CPS(K), CIPS, CIM etc.
FOR A-LEVEL ENTRY
A Uganda Advanced Certificate of Educaton(UACE) with at least two principal passes plus a Uganda Certificate of Educatoin (UCE) with atleast 5 credits, including English Language and Mathematics or the Equivalent.
