The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the results for the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations. This dual release includes:
- New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC) results for the first cohort of learners.
- Transitional Examination results for the final cohort under the old curriculum.
The results were officially announced by the Minister for Education and Sports, Janet K. Museveni, at State House Nakasero on 11th February 2025. Over 359,417 candidates were registered, with 99.4% attending the exams and 98.05% qualifying for the UCE certificate.
HOW TO CHECK UCE RESULTS (2 SIMPLE METHODS)
1. Via SMS:
- For Transitional Candidates (Old Curriculum):
- Type: UCE [space] Full Index Number (ending with “T,” e.g., U0000/001T).
- Send to 6600.
- For NLSC Candidates (New Curriculum):
- Type: UCE [space] Full Index Number (e.g., U0000/001).
- Send to 6600.
2. Via School Portals:
- Schools can access results directly through their institutional portals after the official release.
REQUIREMENTS
- Correct Index Number:
- Transitional candidates: Ensure the index number ends with “T” (e.g., U0000/001T).
- NLSC candidates: Use the standard index number format (e.g., U0000/001).
- Mobile Phone Access:
- A mobile device with SMS capability to receive results.
- School Portal Access:
- Schools must use their registered portals to download results.
