Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS and SPECIAL CASES.
UNIVERSITY OF BENIN ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS
Gaining admission into an Undergraduate Programme in UNIBEN is basically under 2 entry method which includes the UTME entry and the Direct Entry. Application to UNIBEN is basically online by following the following steps stated below.University of Benin, UNIBEN Undergraduate Application Procedures
UNIBEN Post UTME/DE Post UTME/DE Online Application Procedure
- Visit www.uniben.edu Click on Student Portal; Select the WAEUP PORTAL.
- Click on Applicants and then select UNIBEN ADMISSION SCREENING 2022/2023
- Click on Register for application at the top left of the displayed page to proceed.
- Enter your Surname Exactly as written on the JAMB Registration slip, and JAMB Registration number. Immediately, your ID and Password will be displayed on the browser
- Back On uniben.waeup.org click on ‘Login’ (top right of the front page).
- Enter your username and the password to log in.
- To start the application process, please click on ‘Application record’ and provide all the required information and upload your passport photograph.
- Upload a Recent and clear 1” x 1” COLOURED passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only. Great care should also be taken to follow the specified formats on the UNIBEN website and portal. SEE PASSPORT GUIDELINES… NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University of Benin. FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE SPECIFIED PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION and failure/forfeitures of admission.
- To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “Pay with Remita” on the top left corner of the page, follow the instruction to pay the application fee of N 2,000:00; with a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Commercial Bank in Nigeria
- Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online. (No correction will be accepted after the closing date).
- Go back online on the appointed date (3RD August 2024) to print out the acknowledgement slip that contains your specific screening schedule

UNIVERSITY OF BENIN APPLICATION FEE
Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of N 2000 by following the payment method as stated in the application procedure. This fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through UNIBEN, do not qualify for admission to UNIBEN or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available. UNIBEN does not accept cash at any of its offices. The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period. Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed. Please ensure that you keep a copy of your proof of payment.Make sure that your application is complete
If your application for admission to study through UNIBEN is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period.UNIBEN APPLICATION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
All applicants starting a new qualification must present all the required documents, which generally consists of the following:- UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy)
- UNIBEN Post-UTME Acknowledgement Slip (Coloured and photocopy) JUPEB/A-LEVEL/OND/HND/BSc. RESULT SLIP for DIRECT Entry candidates
- O’Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO) OR an online version of the result
- UNIBEN Online application form (FOR DIRECT ENTRY ONLY)
- Passport Photographs
