UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS

Gaining admission into an Undergraduate Programme in UI is basically under 2 entry method which includes the UTME entry and the Direct Entry. Prospective students of UI are to obtain the JAMB Forms, choose Covenant University and sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Board as prescribed in the relevant advertisement for the 2024/2025 admission exercise. Also, applicants must complete the online University of Ibadan Application Forms. Please use the Application Requirements checklist section below to prepare your application for submission.

UNILAG Post UTME/DE Online Application Procedure
  • The application can also be made online by visiting the University of Ibadan Online Application portal through the link as stated below in order to track the application anywhere and anytime.
  • Simply upload all of the necessary documentation so that it can be processed by our administrative department.
  • Your application will be completed once all of the necessary fees have been paid.
  • Candidates are expected to print the payment success receipt which should display full names of the candidate as indicated on the Direct Entry form slip preceded by the JAMB registration number, as the payee and the payment reference number showing the success message. Upon successful payment, candidates should proceed on the portal to submit their bio-data and all credentials (SSCE/NECO/O’L, GCE A’L, NCE/ND/HND, first degree). Candidates with NCE/ND/HND/First degree are to request their institutions to send the hard copies of their transcripts directly to the Admission Officer, Undergraduate Admission Office, University of Ibadan
  • Candidates are advised to fill the online forms carefully, following all instructions, as “mistake(s)” may lead to disqualification. Candidates are then to print the evidence of completion of the transaction and keep for further reference.

UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN APPLICATION FEE

A screening fee of N2,000.00 should be paid through the ADMISSION PORTAL in favour of University of Ibadan (Admission Processing Fee Account). Candidate’s Name, JAMB Registration Number, Telephone Number and E-mail address should be quoted at the point of payment. Payment Options for UI post UTME Form:
  • Credit/Debit Card Payment using ATM card
  • Cash at bank using the print-out from the portal to make payment at the bank
  • Direct bank account debit whereby you use your internet banking tools to make payments. Candidates are expected to print the payment success receipt which should display full names of the candidate (SURNAME first) as in the UTME result slip preceded by the JAMB Registration number, as the payee and the payment reference number showing the success message.
This fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through UI, do not qualify for admission to UI or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available. UI does not accept cash at any of its offices. The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period. Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed. Please ensure that you keep a copy of your proof of payment.

Make sure that your application is complete
If your application for admission to study through UI is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period.

UI APPLICATION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

All applicants starting a new qualification must present all the required documents, which generally consists of the following:
  • UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy)
  • UI Post-UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy) JUPEB/A-LEVEL/OND/HND/BSc. RESULT SLIP for DIRECT Entry candidates
  • O’Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO) OR an online version of the result
  • addressed to The Registrar, the University of Ibadan (original and photocopy)
  • UI Online application form (FOR DIRECT ENTRY ONLY)
  • Passport Photographs
