
SOKOTO STATE UNIVERSITY ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS
Gaining admission into an Undergraduate Programme in SSU is basically under 2 entry method which includes the UTME entry and the Direct Entry. Prospective students of Sokoto State University are to obtain the JAMB Forms, choose Sokoto State University and sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Board as prescribed in the relevant advertisement for the 2023/2024 admission exercise. Also, applicants must complete the online Sokoto State University Application Forms. SSU Post UTME/DE Online Application Procedure
Step 1: Visit the Screening Portal at portal.ssu.edu.ng.
Step 2: Enter your JAMB Registration Number as username and UTME score as password for UTME candidate. While DE candidate should use JAMB Registration Number as username and password.
Step 3: Click on ‘Update Data’ link to update your phone number and email address.
Step 4: Generate and print your screening payment invoice of the sum of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000), only containing Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number, thereafter proceed to any commercial bank nationwide to make payment or click on ‘Pay Now’ link to pay using any of the instant Remita payment channels.
Step 5: After payment, login to your screening account again and update your biodata, academic records and other required information.
Step 6: Upload your O’level/A’ level result (PDF format of not more than 50KB).
Step 7: Print your acknowledgement slip and payment receipt for record purposes.
SOKOTO STATE UNIVERSITY APPLICATION FEE
Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of N 2000 by following the payment method as stated in the application procedure. This fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through SSU, do not qualify for admission to SSU or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available. SSU does not accept cash at any of its offices. The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period. Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed. Please ensure that you keep a copy of your proof of payment.Make sure that your application is complete
If your application for admission to study through SSU is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period.SSU APPLICATION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
All applicants starting a new qualification must present all the required documents, which generally consists of the following:- UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy)
- SSU Post-UTME Result Slip (Coloured and photocopy) JUPEB/A-LEVEL/OND/HND/BSc. RESULT SLIP for DIRECT Entry candidates
- O’Level Result Certificate (WAEC/NECO) OR an online version of the result
- addressed to The Registrar, Sokoto State University (original and photocopy)
- SSU Online application form (FOR DIRECT ENTRY ONLY)
- Passport Photographs
