It is announced for the information of prospective applicants and the general public that the School of Graduate Studies, EBSU, is offering the graduate programmes for the 2023 academic year leading to the award of Postgraduate Diploma, Masters and Doctorate Degrees.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS, and SPECIAL CASES.
EBSU POSTGRADUATE APPLICATION PROCEDURE & ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Entry Requirements:
Masters Degree
Candidates for master’s degree programmes are required to be: Candidates who have obtained the appropriate degree with at least a good second-class honours or its equivalent. Holders of Ebonyi State University Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) or from other recognized Institutions and who scored a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 3.00 on the 5 point grade scale. They must also have the minimum requirement for undergraduate studies in the chosen discipline.
DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PHD):
Candidates who have obtained the degree of masters in the proposed discipline such candidates should possess a CGPA of not less than 3.50 on 5-point grade scale or 3.00 on a 4-point grade scale. They must also have the minimum requirement for undergraduate studies in the chosen discipline.
POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD):
a) Graduates from approved Universities who hold first degree qualification acceptable to Senate, and who want to study courses other than those in which they obtained their first degree,
b) Graduates who hold a third class degree
c) HND (Credit) in relevant discipline
d) Holders of professional qualifications such as FLMLT, FNLT, AIB, ACCAACMA, ICANACCS and ACIS.
