BAYERO UNIVERSITY KANO ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS
Gaining admission into an Undergraduate Programme in BUK is basically under 2 entry method which includes the UTME entry and the Direct Entry. Prospective students of Bayero University Kano are to obtain the JAMB Forms, choose Covenant University and sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Board as prescribed in the relevant advertisement for the 2023/2024 admission exercise. Also, applicants must complete the online Covenant University Application Forms. BUK Post UTME/DE Online Application Procedure
- STEP 1: At the homepage of the Bayero University website(link stated below), click Aptitude Test Application Portal
- STEP 2: Login using your UTME Number and UTME Aggregate (total score), then upload your passport-sized photograph. Note that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in Bayero University, Kano
- STEP 3: Fill-in the Applicant’s Particulars Form.
- STEP 4: Print your Personalized Payment Invoice and use the invoice to make the payment of N2,500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only) at any branch of Banks Listed on your Invoice nationwide.
- STEP 5: After making the payment, return to the website, log in again. Your payment will be validated after which you can print your personalized Examination Card.
- Prospective candidates must have sat for the UTME Examinations, chose BUK as her/his first choice, and must have scored an aggregate of 180 or higher in the relevant subjects as advertised in the UME Brochure.
- Prospective candidates are required to have a minimum of five (5) relevant passes at Credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or the National Examinations Council (NECO) in not more than two (2) sittings, including a pass at credit level in English.
BAYERO UNIVERSITY KANO APPLICATION FEE
This fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through BUK, do not qualify for admission to BUK or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available. BUK does not accept cash at any of its offices. The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period. Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed. Please ensure that you keep a copy of your proof of payment.Make sure that your application is complete
If your application for admission to study through UNILAG is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period.SCREENING EXERCISE AND POST – UTME TEST
The date of the screening exercise and Post UTME examinations will be announced in the media as well as communicated to all registered applicants via their gsm and email addresses. The Venue, Time and Sitting Arrangement for the test will be on applicants’ Examination Cards. NB Applicants are to come to the screening venue with the following:- Exam Card
- Writing Materials (2B Pencil and Eraser)
- Four Figure Table (where applicable)
