The University of Embu (UoEm) Academic Year presently begins in September of each calendar year and ends in August of the subsequent year. The Academic Year comprises two semesters and one trimester each lasting for sixteen (16) weeks. The first semester begins in September and ends in December while the second semester begins in January of the subsequent year and ends in April. The third semester (trimester) begins in May and ends in August of the same year. Besides the semester-based Academic Year, the University also operates a part-time (Institutional, Evening and Weekends) based Academic Year for students.

It should be submitted upon payment of a non-refundable application fee of KSh. 4,000 for PhD, KSh. 2,000 for Masters and Bachelors, KSh. 1,000 for Diploma and KSh. 500 for Certificate for East Africans and USD 100, USD 50, USD 25 and USD 15 respectively for non-East Africans.

No application is valid unless the appropriate application fee has been paid. Application forms can be accessed through an online application or downloaded below.
University of Embu, UoEm offers courses at the undergraduate levels. Prospective students should apply by filling out the application forms before the deadline date as the Admissions Office communicates it. Late applications are only accepted if the program space allows. These should be received no later than two weeks after the start of the appropriate semester; OR not later than a week after the beginning of a session.
